A Night of Story, Art, and Purpose
On April 8, 2026, inside the elegance of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, acclaimed author Anthony P. Jones will debut his newest thriller, Sorrowful Mysteries. Yet the evening’s purpose goes far beyond the book launch.
Rooted in Purpose
This event benefits Journey for Change, a nonprofit organization where Anthony P. Jones serves as Vice President. Committed to historical awareness and community healing, the organization supports initiatives that foster understanding and unity. The evening also celebrates Anthony’s dedication to using his artistic voice to bring communities together through the joy and healing of the Arts.
Inspired by Peace and Unity
The inspiration for this gathering is deeply intentional. Recently, beloved monks walked the frigid winter streets of Richmond in a Peace Walk, radiating calm, unity, and quiet strength. Their message was simple but profound: peace begins within each of us and moves outward into the world.
This event carries that same spirit forward. As the evening closes with the anthem “We Are the World,” guests will be reminded that art, culture, storytelling, and shared experiences still have the power to unite us.

Despite grappling with undiagnosed dyslexia until 37 years old, Jones is a brilliant and talented author who excelled academically.
He navigated through medical school and several prestigious universities, showcasing his exceptional intellect and perseverance. This period of his life nurtured a deep-seated desire for knowledge and a burning ambition to make a lasting impact on the world.
